The INTERMEDIATE course (level 2) is the next logical step of the level 1 course and its application in the field.
You will also be introduced to the scope of skills required to stay safe in the mountains. The main goal is to inspire you to continue learning.
Its objectives are to introduce you to the basics of risk prevention related to off-piste practice.

Central Valais is our favourite playground. Hérens Valley, one of the swiss backcountry paradise is our basecamp. However, we will be glad to move according to your wishes or conditions of the day.

Therefore, the course structure is based on a typical day in the mountains. From the first contact with the group to the debrief at the end of the day, you will easily be able to follow every step of the scenario as it unfolds.
The Basic Avalanche Course (Level 1)
Theory : Avalanche & Snow basic knowledges – Plan your freeride or skitouring day with the 3X3 and GRM methods
Practice : ECT (extended column test) – Basics for using transceiver, probe and shovel and search for avalanche burial victims.
The Intermediate Avalanche Course (Level 2)
